In the end, this meant that we didn't even leave for school until 8.40am - giving us 5 minutes to walk a 20 minute walk to get them into school on time! We are usually at school between 8.20 and 8.30am! I then had to talk to the boy's teacher about his "illness" and his behaviour getting ready for school and on the walk in. I also needed to leave a note for the girl's teacher (as Key Stage 2 had assembly), in case she started to flag in class due to lack of sleep.
This meant that I left school premises at 9.10am, and even though I stood at the bus stop for 10 minutes, I missed the bus to Durrell (I am not 100% sure that that particular route goes past that stand, or if I just missed it). So I headed home and emptied the dishwasher until the next bus. But by the time I got to the roundabout, the bus went past - early! So I turned around and emailed the marketing manager to apologise, and work from home.
It was nice and relaxing, and I got to have some lunch, watched 'Uncle Buck' and got work done. Brilliant.
Then, the three of us got invited out for dinner. Resulting in two very happy children running toward the bf, shouting his name, at the sight of him walking towards us at Pizza Hut.
