- We made it to the Church meeting today
- Sally & Maureen took Kids Church, even though the girl and the boy were the only two there!
- Mam took us out for lunch, it was delicious
- It was super sunny today
- The kiddos had fun in the park, and got to see friends from school
- Came home from the park to a roast dinner
My Mam went home today. I have two sad children. To stop them from being so sad, we went to the park halfway along the bus route to the airport - leaving my Mam on the upper deck, waving and blowin kisses.
It's gone past midnight, but I'm still awake - the day is not over!
Here we go again!
The thing that irks me is, I had my photo ready and I knew what I was going to write....but fell asleep before getting onto the site - oopsie :/
Today was good. I got to have lunch with the kiddos, mam & Chrissie. It was sunny enough to eat outside too. I saw the Gentle Lemurs, the otters at play, and the Meerkats standing to attention or busy digging. Once again, I walked past all the free-roaming geese on my lunch break. Sold two things on eBay, packaged and ready to go. Managed to get the Vanish to actually reduced the stains on the boys school shirt collars, and Mam finished off the ironing!
Today is the last bank holiday of the year, until Christmas anyways. And in proper British fashion, it chucked it down with rain. Boo!
So we had indoor fun. Yummy pancakes (with lemon & sugar) for lunch, pork green Thai curry and rice for dinner, Xbox one & Nintendo wii fun in the afternoon, and a walk after dinner, as the rain had died off.
Watching the kiddos wave watch was brilliant. The bf trying to teach them how to tell which waves would hit where was great, they kept getting sprayed!
So today I'm happy because we still had a good day, even with the bad weather. Yay rainy day fun!
My "auntie" arrived for a visit today - yay!
The bf has been nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge twice (hehehe).
The boy has gone up one shoe size, the girl has gone up two - they're getting big!
Work has been getting more gritty, and not just admin based - learning, always learning.
Mam did a ton of my ironing :)
Here we go.... again. Oooopsie.
I must admit, I did think I may fail, and have to begin again. It's not a thing that I like, mind you. I was hoping that I would make it to 100 days without having to start over. But I do have a reason.
I got an UTI. It's not nice, it's not pretty. But it's the truth, it's painful, and the cranberry juice (that I have been told to drink) is gross. I have not had much to give me happiness, well I probably have, but I haven't had the inclination to look. Shame on me.
But today is Sunday. And it's a good day. And here is why...
It's day 4.
I did not sleep well last night. I spent too long ironing, taking what I had done from the pile upstairs at 12.10am. I then spent until 1.20am putting my clothes away, putting the children's clothes away, getting ready for bed, and then realising if I didn't tidy away everything the bf had left scattered across the bedroom - then he would surely kill himself when he came in drunk (at 2.15am!). Then came the drunken snoring... I slept in the boys empty bed.
And right now? Well right now my stomach aches, I don't know why. It did yesterday too, but slightly more today - maybe I shouldn't be ignoring it. The problem is, I have volunteering to do tomorrow & Friday, as well as demonstrating at Boots for N2O. Great.
But, overall, it's been a good day. I have indeed found happy moments within the busyness of the day.
I almost didn't make it! Just 5 minutes left of today - *phew*
Well, I've made it two days in a row - yay!
It's been a tough day. I started my voluntary work at Durrell Wildlife Park, working in the marketing team for Durrell Wildlife Park and Durrell Conservation Trust. I have spent pretty much all day on the computer, and finding all the media that has been posted about Henry Cavill becoming Durrell's ambassador. There are so many fan sites....
I am currently sat on the bus, heading home. Knowing I have ironing to do, stinky guinea pigs to clean out, and dinner to cook (and my lunch for tomorrow).
But here are happiness parts of day 2:
