Ok, so it's "Day Three", and I am sat here staring at the computer screen wondering what to do now.
Something has happened to Ellie's email address, and has discovered that some of the submissions have not been getting through. Fortunately, she has quickly added another email address for submissions to go to, and written a blog to let people know. Which she has also posted on the Cuppa facebook page. She really is a star.
Just waiting for her to send the first batch of submissions over for me to start reading. I form part of the panel, along with a friend of Ellie's from her Writing degree route. I am not one for writing, I did Broadcasting and Journalism with my Media Communications degree route.
Stuck on where to go from here. I'm sure I can think up another question to post onto the Cuppa page, maybe even the Equipe page. I just want to find some more ways of promoting what we are doing.
Last night I basically pleaded on the Equipe page for help. I am shocked that a charity that was founded by Christians, run by Christians, and has a major Christian supporter base, is quiet blatantly ignoring this new and exciting opportunity for fund-raising.
I mean, the book has nothing to do with Christianity, and to be honest, neither does the charity - it just happens that Christians founded it and run it. I don't want to be putting people off by this, it is just a coincidence. When we started the book, one of our majors goals were to make this nothing to do with religion. And we have succeeded in this.
But it still shocks me. Out of the current 55 likes, I know 7 of them, and only 2 of them like the Equipe page! Hopefully the question I asked 2 days ago on there, and this new "pleading" for help and promotion, will get into some people's hearts. I honestly don't know what else to do there. I wonder if I can pick Ziz's brain before she goes on maternity next Wednesday.....
