Ok, so we've had the submissions emailed to us ready for reading. We organised to meet Friday (which is now today from looking at the time!!), to give our verdicts. But we are still getting late submissions, so we have reopened the submission date. Which is a positive, a real big positive.
I mean, this thing has gone global. I was looking at the stats from the Cuppa page, and it is phenomenal! The people liking the page across the board. Only 31 are from the UK, the rest are from the Sates, Germany, Australia, the Philippines! It is amazing. We don't know how it happened, and we're not going to question it, we are just so happy at how this project has taken off.
So, we are getting a start on the submissions, and expecting more to come. Well, we know more will come. And we've now set the deadline to October 24, at 17.00 (British Summer Time). So get cracking if you are planning on submitting, especially if you are a writer of children's stories.
We have neglected the cover design, in our haste to find writers. And our illustrations. Shame on us. But it's not for the want of trying. Which has brought about our competition - ooooo aahhhh!
Anyone wishing to enter the competition, we have a short deadline. Entries must be in by 23.59 Tuesday October 18 (once again, BST) and will be displayed on the Cuppa page for voting from Wednesday October 19. Ellie's blog has more details, which can be found here.
Getting really excited at the prospect that this can achieve for Equipe - and for my CV!
