HEY! I'm getting better at this. It's been 9 days since my last confession, errrr I mean post :/ And what a week and a half has it been.
I must start off, or rather do second, by wishing the best sister in the world a very happy birthday....
So let's bring you up-to-date on it all.
Media Law and Ethics - due in June. Done half, still half to do. Shouldn't be hard, I have researched it (although where the research is now....) So the kiddos will be in Holiday Club once again in June half term.
Case Study - my question is sorted. My research isn't. I must start that.
Broadcasting Project - I have my project brief, I know what I need to film(ish), I just need to do my script (again!) and get into the two schools to do some actual filming.
Media Project & Portfolio - My baby! I screwed up by not getting it out when we wanted. I have decided that authors and illustrators are given a bad rep, as they have all been lovely about it. I have downloaded the software needed (by subscription, via Twin Wicks Publishing - must remember to thank the company owner *pats self on the back*), and have started the process of uploading onto CreateSpace. I have one ISBN already, just two more to go. I have decided to go with 3 volumes - following the age ranges of the stories, and the fact that you need a minimum of 24 pages per book!
Which brings me a little stuck with two stories - the wonderful Them Gates of Hades by Melanie Kerr and Tale as Old as Time by the amazing Danielle Shipley. I don't have enough pages. They have one illustration each, due to the age rage of the stories. I am hoping to come up with some solution, but this maybe put on hold for a little while, but I hope not.
Uploading onto Smashwords and Kindle will happen next. And I am excited. Not only forEquipe, and the good that these books will help provide to the people that they work with, not only for the authors and illustrators involved, and not even for my assignment grade. I am excited because Ellie left this one up to me. I am excited because doing A Cuppa and an Armchair and Cookies and Milk, has made me realise that this is the career I want. And I have not wasted my time in arranging my final year around the subject, and starting myown business in the industry.
Anyway, the library is closing very shortly, and now that I have looked at the time, I must leave, as I have children to collect from Blwchgwyn Cabin Crew Holiday Club by 5.30 - hope Mam is on the case if I don't make it back in time......
OH!, and before anyone asks - the language I did the caption to my sister is associated with the following. Answers on a postcard please :)
