Things are really busy here at the moment. Not that I am complaining one bit!
Media Law and Ethics is still pounding my brain. 5,000 words weighing up Freedom of Expression against the Right to a Fair Trial, is mind blowing. I’m trying talk about Contempt of Court, the Fade Factor and what other countries do (mainly America, Germany & New Zealand). It is tough going.
My Media Project & Portfolio is, once again, publishing based. But this isn’t for Equipe this time. It is forAVOW. A book that is full of inspiring stories, poems and pictures about volunteering in Wrecsam. This will coincide with AVOW’s 25th anniversary. Working closely with marketing officer, Aleksandra Zembrzuska. Lots will be learnt from working with her.
A Cuppa and an Armchair, and Cookies and Milk, is on a hiatus at the moment. Changes are happening behind the scenes, and this must be completed before we go any further with the project. All for the good of the charity, authors and illustrators. And news will come, it will just take some time.
As for Twin Wicks, well I couldn’t be happier, even though slightly stressed by it all! Website work is ongoing. Have two manuscripts with editors, and one in formatting. Although the formatting is on hold due to waiting for illustrations, and currently in talks with an illustrator about this.
And then there is the whole birthday celebrations thingy. This weekend sees Nat, Lindsey & I go to London, Baby! to see The Phantom of the Opera. Excited, maybe just a little…. And then the following weekend, is the arrival of the big 3-0, and the hosting of my fancy dress party. There’s something to cross off my “30 things to do when I’m 30” list.
And then the whole life thing is still ongoing! Children, reading, general day-to-day, university, driving lessons, organising for Christmas, hanging out with friends. But I am loving every minute, even if it means that the friends thing gets put on the back-burner – and I apologise if I have slightly ignored anyone during this.
